Overview

An excellent 6 lane 25-Metre competition swimming pool. Extremely good natural light from 2 x glass panelled gable-ends to the building. Spacious dedicated tiered spectator seating area positioned alongside the pool. Dimensions: Length 25M  Width 12.5M  Depth 1.1M (shallow)  2.0M (deep).

Directions

Use the Frizinghall Road entrance, with car park immediately on your right.

Please do not park in the bus turning area on the left. This area must be left free of cars as it is used for Coaches / Buses to collect & drop-off school pupils. To maintain safety procedures it is imperative that this restriction is observed. Cars may be blocked in by larger vehicles or clamped by school staff.

Walk past the vehicle barrier and proceed straight ahead, the entrance is in the ‘gable end’ of the swimming pool building, look out for the ‘Best Stroke’ signage.

On entry take the stairs to the right up to pool level where you will find a tiered viewing area.

Changing rooms, showers and toilets are on the opposite side of the pool accessed by walking around the pool side. Please do not leave any valuables in the changing rooms.

NB: Please Note

Outdoor shoes must be removed in the tiered viewing area before entering the pool side, or please use the disposable overshoes provided.

Please do not allow your child to enter the water or wait on pool-side prior to the start of their lesson. Immediately prior to the lesson pupils should report to their Instructor, who will then supervise water entry.

NB: BGS have asked us to bring to your attention

The pool is entirely separate to, and secured from the remainder of the school by locked internal doors. Please respect the facilities and property and leave the pool area as you found it.

There is no access to the school site until after 4:30pm on weekdays. This does not include Bradford Grammar School pupils, and attendant family / carers, BGS staff or their immediate family members.

Smoking is not permitted within the school building & grounds, and dogs are not allowed on site.

No food or drink is allowed on pool-side.
